Some years after I formulated/proposed some of the significant and new things about St Patrick and Bishop Broin about Bishop(Broin) and Mac Reim especially with regard to the "Bruen"name (as Breen) in West Meath a Professor at OXFORD University published a Book "Early Christian Ireland"(Cambridge? University Press)where in he presented the same view.And in fact went beyond where I did with no reservation where as I was concerned over being criticized for to much speculation.
I HIGHLY recommend the book to you (surprise!)
No change in what I presented but provides some further soft support.
He does however elevate Bron to a position of St Patrick's main man in Connaught.

ReplyDeleteRegarding the book mentioned above, Amazon has it listed for $72 which thankfully includes free shipping with the Amazon Prime service. Do you have any ideas where one might find this book at a lower price?
